Sleeping and Time Management

It's 6:50 am. I've been up for about 20 or so minutes now, which is weird for me. I've been having trouble staying asleep after 4:00 am the last few days. It drives me crazy! Part of it is because I'm starting my new work from home business, Professional Virtual Business Solutions, and I lay there and start thinking about everything I need to do that day. So, then I get excited about it and want to get to work on it, because I know there are only so many hours in a day, and I never have enough time to accomplish everything I want/need to!

One thing I've learned, is I can't spend a ton of time on forums, message boards, twhirl, etc. because I just don't get focused on what I need to be doing, i.e. my daily lessons in my VBSS kit (Virtual Business Startup System), working on my website, logo and other things necessary to get my business up and running.

Jeff and I picked up a dry erase/magnetic board from Wal-Mart the other day, and now I have my "To Do" list posted right by the computer, which will help me stay focused on the things I need to get done.

Right now, I am working on a couple of things (voluntarily) for our youth pastor. I am already his administrative assistant voluntarily, and it gives me a few things to "practice". I am also planning Briana's graduation party, and I count that as practice for Event Planning. In other words, I'm thinking of the things I have to get done in my personal life as if I were doing them for a paying client.

If I can just stay focused on those things, stick to my "To Do" list, then I will stay organized and my priorities will stay in line, hopefully.

  1. LOL! Welcome to the world of working from home - not enough hours in the day ;-) Time management is definitely key & as long as you learn that upfront like you already are, you'll be fine :-)
