HARBOR SPRINGS — Boyne City’s Kaleb McNamara and Charlevoix-East Jordan’s Katherine Rowley each were double winners Thursday in a Lake Michigan Conference ski meet at Nub’s Nob.
The Boyne City boys finished first with 47 points to win Thursday’s six-team race, while Harbor Springs was second, 75, followed by Traverse City St. Francis, 98; Elk Rapids, 110; Grayling, 158; and Charlevoix-East Jordan, 166.
Charlevoix-East Jordan won the girls’ portion of the meet with 61 points, while Harbor Springs was second, 81; followed by T.C. St. Francis, 85.5; Boyne, 114; Grayling, 139.5; and Elk Rapids, 193.
McNamara won the boys’ giant slalom in 52.95 seconds, and the slalom in 57.90 seconds. Rowley claimed the girls’ GS in 54.40, and the slalom in one minute, 1.65 seconds.

How exciting to have your child's name in the newspaper! I know I got all giddy last year when Caleb's name was in the paper for wrestling :-)
